Winter Storm Warning in Western Wyoming
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in Western Wyoming.
Heavy snow and winds gusting as high as 45 mph are expected in the forecast area. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches expected, with locally higher amounts up to 16 inches possible near Beaver Rim and Alcova. 2 to 2.5 feet possible on Casper Mountains.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Winter driving conditions can be expected. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. The hazardous conditions could impact commutes through the entire warning period. Power lines could be impacted by the persistent moderate to heavy snowfall rates.
The alert area covers Casper Mountain; Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range; Natrona County Lower Elevations.
The warning remains in effect until 6 AM Thursday, 3/14/2019.
